The Sunstar Pontresina combines the Upper Engadine mountain scenery with fine food and a beautiful a

In autumn, the hotel is framed by golden larches that bathe the entire area in warm light.
Not to be forgotten is the warm and cheerful team that gives you a friendly welcome upon arrival.
The rooms? They are incredibly spacious and offer plenty of room to spread out and relax. Every detail of the design is carefully considered. Light colors, natural materials, and a modern, alpine interior create an atmosphere in which I immediately felt at ease.
We enjoyed the sunrise at Lake Staz, which is just a short walk from the hotel. There, the golden larches are reflected in the water like in a painting. And then there's the Val Roseg, mystical and tranquil. We explored it by e-bike.
Nearby is the Morteratsch Glacier, a place that never fails to impress me. This combination of powerful nature and silence is almost impossible to describe; you have to experience it for yourself.
With a stay of two nights or more, we could use the region's mountain railways free of charge. The ride on the Diavolezza cable car was one of the highlights for me; the view of the Bernina massif is simply unforgettable.
The Sunstar Pontresina is open all year round. This meant we could still enjoy the "Indian Summer" in the Engadine even in late autumn. After hikes and bike tours, we could relax in the lobby.
A freshly prepared matcha cake and one of the best coffees in the region – a huge plus for me as a coffee lover.
To completely relax your muscles, you can reserve the spa for an hour, essentially as a private spa. There's a small relaxation room, fine teas and healthy snacks, as well as three saunas: a bio sauna, a Finnish sauna, and a steam room.
This is exactly what a mountain holiday should feel like!
