The Swiss Alps are a true hiking paradise, and one of the most impressive tours leads from Wägerhus on the Flüela Pass to the picturesque Jöriseen lakes. These mountain lakes, nestled in a breathtaking alpine landscape, invite hikers to an unforgettable nature experience. In this blog post, I'll take you on a journey through the majestic mountain world, past shimmering lakes and imposing peaks, all the way to the Vereina Berghaus in Klosters.

Starting point at Wägerhus (Flüela Pass)
Our hike begins at the Flüela Pass near the Wägerhus bus stop.
The ascent to the Jöriseen lakes
We follow the well-marked hiking trail, which initially winds gently through mountain meadows. The scent of fresh mountain grass and alpine flowers accompanies us on our way. After a while, we reach a signpost at a junction; from there, we take the path towards Jörifurgga.

Jörifurgga
Having reached the top of the Jörifurgga pass, we enjoy the view down to the sparkling blue mountain lakes. The clear water reflects the blue sky. We continue our journey down to the lakes, taking our first break on the shore and enjoying the tranquility of nature.
The hike continues
We continue our hike, past steep rock faces and fragrant alpine herbs. The path becomes more challenging, but the magnificent views of the surrounding peaks and valleys motivate us to keep going.
Descent to the Vereina Berghaus in Klosters

After a leisurely rest, we begin our return journey. The descent leads us down alpine trails and across fragrant meadows into the valley. The path is challenging, but the beauty of nature and the memories of the Jöriseen lakes carry us lightly down. Finally, we reach the Berghaus Vereina in Klosters, where we end the day with a refreshing drink. The cozy atmosphere and the hospitality of the hosts perfectly round off the hiking experience. At the Vereina Berghaus, you can reserve a bus that will take you back to the village of Klosters for a small fee. If you still have energy, you can also descend back to the village on the gravel road, but this will add another two hours to your hike.
